Donate to TAH

Taunton Association for the Homeless is well managed and financially stable but is dependent on its rental income, grant funding and the kind donations it receives from those generous individuals and local businesses who support the valuable work the Association does.

Working with some of the most vulnerable members of our society, there are some things that rental income and grants can't pay for and where donations really come into their own. With grants reducing at the moment (our main grant has been cut by £100,000 in the last two years), donations are even more important and can help us to provide:-

Moving-in packs - goods provided to residents who are moving out of TAH's hostel accommodation into their own independent or semi-independent homes. Packs include essentials such as crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, tea towels and small items of furniture

Travel costs - help with fares to get to college, work or to visit family members with whom TAH residents are trying to re-establish or maintain contact

College expenses - help with the costs of college courses or the equipment needed to play a full part in college activities

Resident Activities - funds to help purchase equipment or organise activities that encourage residents to develop their team-working and social skills so that they can become fuller members of our society and can engage with normal community activities

If you are able to support TAH's work through a donation, or want to talk to us about other ways in which you might be able to help, you can either:-

Contact our Chief Executive, John Shipley, on 01823 273840 or jshipley@tahltd.co.uk
